We are heartbroken to share that our beloved “mum”, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, Alexa Flora Salch, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, at the age of 45.
Alexa was born in Meriden, CT, on September 17, 1979, the daughter of Raymond Salch, Jr. and Linda (Carpenter) Salch. She was a proud 1997 graduate of Caribou High School. She will be remembered as one of the hardest workers we've all known, spending many years as a dedicated bartender and waitress at many different area businesses. She worked tirelessly to give her children the best life she could and found true happiness in the work she did every day.
Alexa was a natural giver and was the kind of person that would drop everything to help someone else. Whether it was taking care of people or keeping her plants and flowers alive, she gave her time and love freely without hesitation. She also had a deep love for beauty and style. Looking beautiful came naturally to her, and she took pride in expressing herself through her fashion and makeup. She loved rocking a pair of sparkly heels. She is remembered as a ray of sunshine-bringing positivity and happiness everywhere she went. Alexa was the type of person to always look at the glass as half full. She always saw the beauty in things and found peace at the lake and loved scenic adventures.
Her friends and family always admired her spunk and determination. Her life revolved around her children. Being a mother was her greatest joy and purpose. She was a loving, devoted single mom to her five children, all of whom she loved deeply and unconditionally.
Alexa is survived by her parents, Raymond and Linda Salch of Caribou; her children, Michaela Levesque, Chelsea Levesque, Alex Levesque, Caleb Levesque, and Cameron Levesque, all of Caribou; her grandchildren, Brayden and Kayson; and her siblings, Brandy Scalzo and husband Rodney of Hampton, CT, Raymond Salch III and wife Jessica of Connor, Mathew Salch and wife Mary-Helena of Westfield, Philip Salch and Ursula Salch both of Caribou, her grandfather, Lyle Beach of TN; the father of her children, Michael Levesque of Caribou; and many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was predeceased by grandparents, Ruth Beach, Richard Carpenter, Sr. and his wife, Ada, and Raymond Salch, Sr. and his wife, Lucielle.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 4PM until the time of services, which will be held at 6PM in the chapel of the funeral home. A private family interment will take place.
