Carl & family, So very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. We will keep you and your family in our prayers during this very difficult time.
God's encouragement and love be with you and your family.

Our McDonalds times
Well, this is sad indeed.I'd have coffee and a sandwich with the old guy some mornings at McDonalds.
Not all the time, but would make a point to sit with him, and listen to the old timey stories... and boy were there some.
Nether one of us sat at the big table, but where we could see the dog in the truck.
He was proud of that dog.
I'll miss the stories, and spending coffee with a nice man, and a local legend.

Karen

Karen, Another passage in life has come around for you. It is difficult, yet I am sure you have some wonderful memories of your father back in the day. It is difficult to lose a parent but I firmly believe our parents are ready to leave us first!
May he rest in peace and I pray you are well.
Lynne

Deepest Sympathy
Very sorry to hear this news. Our deepest sympathy goes our to the family. I lost my Dad a year ago and feel your pain. I loved talking to him to and my father had many stories about his relationship with him. God bless!???
Memories of Iver
First of all, my thoughts, prayers and sincere condolences go out to the Soderberg family. The Norton-Soderberg friendship goes back almost 8 decades. My father, Linwood, and Iver were best friends since high school. Some people might think of them as a bit of an “odd couple” with one being somewhat shy, quiet and reserved and the other, well, not so much. :-) Nonetheless, their friendship stood the test of time.
My earliest memories of Iver and family go back to my childhood that included birthday parties, picnics and family gatherings. Other than my immediate family, Iver and the Soderberg family are the people I remember earliest in my life.
In more recent years I enjoyed a more personal friendship with Iver, especially since my dad passed earlier this year. I never tired of Iver recalling the adventures he and my dad had together even when it was something I had heard before. He was one of those special people who could tell the same story, or joke, again and again and it never got old. I think that’s partly due to how much he truly enjoyed sharing his stories.
Iver had a big personality and an even bigger heart. Behind that sometimes gruff exterior was a kind, caring, thoughtful man.
I will miss my visits with Iver and Moxie. I will miss my friend.
Niles
