Ken Doody
My sister and I started roller skating at the Melody Roller Rink when Ken and Elsie first opened
it and we went several times a week. Ken gave me dance roller skating lessons which I enjoyed
very much. He was a wonderful and kind man and let us bring in our own music to play which
he gladly played for us. Ken has touched so many lives and he will never be forgotten and will be
greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Condolences
Me heart goes out to the family. I was at the roller rink every weekend growing up and loved seeing Ken. He was a very caring and friendly man who treated everyone as his family. He will be truly missed.

Sorry for the Doodys family loss
Sorry to hear of Ken's passing. Great memories of him and the family at the roller rink. May he rest in peace and may the family find comfort in the wonderful memories of him.

He will be missed
Ken took care of all us kids who went skating at the rink... There had to be hundreds of us to keep in line... But he always remembered each one of us and always had a big smile on his face and welcomed a hug from time to time... Ken will be missed dearly by all who had the opportunity to know him...

Brian and family,

I am sorry to see your Father has passed away. There are many beautiful memories you have shared on Facebook, and I know there are others through the years. May these memories sustain you as you grieve his passing to God's Kingdom.

Great memories
Loved going skating with my friends during my teenage years, We tried to go every Tue, Fri, and Sat. night. Great great memories. Ken gave me skating lessons. He was always making me laugh and spinning me around on skates. Ken and Elsie were always kind.

So many memories.
I can't remember how old I was when I met Ken Dowdy, but I wore a size 2 skate. Many of my favorite childhood memories include Ken, Elsie, and the Doody boys at Melody Roller Rink.
