Armand Godin, Sr.
CARIBOU – Armand J. “Chief” Godin Sr., 84, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 at Caribou. He was born in Lille, August 21, 1934 the son of Damase and Melvina (Vaillancourt) Godin. Armand was known as “Chief” to many, and was well known for operating Chief’s Service in Caribou for many years. On June 13, 1955 he married Melvina Devost, and together they shared 64 years of marriage. Armand was a 4th degree member of the Fred V. Brescia Council 1870 Knights of Columbus in Caribou, and was a longtime member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Melvina, of Caribou, their sons, Adrien and wife Nancy Godin of Caribou, Armand Godin Jr. and wife Tamsey of TN, Robert Godin and wife Connie, Steven Godin and wife Carla, his sister, Debbie Chabre, all of Caribou, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou from 9am until time of services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am, from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Old Holy Rosary Cemetery.
